Red Cortez to join the Airborne Toxic Event and Henry Clay People on U.S. tour

Forging a three-pronged, L.A.-based invasion of the U.S., the Airborne Toxic Event and Henry Clay People will be joined by Red Cortez, one of L.A.’s most powerful and galvanizing rock bands, on tour this fall throughout the United States. Essentially a three-act commercial for some of the best and most intense live music in la la land, the tour is set to launch September 17th in Pomona and culminate at the Fillmore in San Francisco on November 2nd (full list of dates after the jump). Both the Henry Clay People and Red Cortez were part of our In the New Year 2009 list, a compilation of the local bands we felt had the best chances of breaking out of Los Angeles and into the rest of the world.

Red Cortez can next be seen and heard at the Hammer Museum on July 9 with Everest, a show which comes on the heels of a long three-month tour with acts such as Morrissey and Jason Isbell–and, if you haven’t seen Red Cortez in awhile, the touring has more than paid off. We’ll see you in Pomona.
