Psychedelic indie rock from the southern Bayous of Louisiana? Big Rock Candy Mountain is exactly that, invoking the imagery of the classic song about a paradise land with all your desires, but with a rock rather than folk theme and sound.
They have a similar feel to Led Zepelin, Pink Floyd, and other original classic psychedelic rock bands. Add a modern indie edge, a la Muse and other ballad driven alternative rock bands, and you've got BRCM.
A powerful lead singer, with fast tempo guitar, drums, bass, and keys all come together to result in a fun, cohesive, and chaotic at times (in a good way) sound well worth adding to your library of new millennium progressive rock music.
Songs we recommend you listen to: "Rocketship", "Lover", and "Hey Kid Give Me Your Money".
