"i've been rocking out in san francisco for a dozen years, mostly playing drums (currently society of rockets, ex. wolf dogs and ocelots) and singing (currently conspiracy of beards, and everywhere else i go). i've also played a smattering of shows singing my own tunes, largely acoustic and solo. however, i always felt my songs had more of a presence than was being realized. i toyed with starting my own band, but that never really got anywhere (being i'm the only drummer i know). and being scared of wires, i never really took to home recording. so when yosh! opened his own studio (faultine) i pounced at the opportunity to have a friend and professional help me pull this thing together (finally). and so "if you're into that sort of thing" was birthed over 726 glorious days between sept 2005-2007. mostly late friday nights, in fits, spurts, and bursts. i'm playing all the instruments, with the very notable exception of uncle leon chase, flying all the way out from brooklyn to thump the bass, fellow beard andrew kushin playing the upright, cousin ariel daube is playing whenever the piano sounds good, and i got sister suzanne singing in there too."
